DiploMate — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the DiploMate mobile app (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. DiploMate is a real-time multiplayer quiz game. The App is provided by Filippe Frulli.

By using the App you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Information we collect

DiploMate is designed to collect as little as possible. We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number to play. We store:

What we do NOT collect

How your information is used

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where your data is stored (service providers)

DiploMate uses Supabase as its backend for database storage and anonymous authentication. Your profile and gameplay data are stored on Supabase servers located in the European Union. Supabase processes this data on our behalf. See Supabase’s privacy policy.

The App uses Google Fonts, which may load font files from Google’s servers. When this happens, your device’s IP address is visible to Google as part of the standard web request. No account or gameplay data is shared with Google.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your profile and gameplay data for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App: Settings → Delete account. This removes your username, rating, statistics, and match history. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. You can delete your data directly in the App (see above), or contact us using the details below for any other request.

Children’s privacy

DiploMate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections, and database access is restricted by row-level security so that players can only access the data they are permitted to. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
